Let's see how far our voices and shouts will carry.

Light Stick is a free Apple app by izen.me. You can view it here in the iTunes store, or you can search “Light Stick” on your device’s App Store to find it. To set it up to glow red:

  • Download the app
  • Open the app
  • Go to “Create”
  • Change the time to however long you want it to stay lit for
  • Pick any red under the colour options (there are multiple)
  • Go to “Light It Up”
Once you get to the concert and want to keep the “light stick” going, go into your device’s settings and change the auto-lock to “Never”. This will ensure that your device’s screen does not go blank after a couple of minutes. However, you may have to tap your screen occasionally to keep the screen from dimming.

This is a screenshot I took from my iPod Touch. Keep in mind that when displayed on your Apple device, it will look much brighter.

This option for the red ocean requires that you keep your device on for most of the show, which could be for two to three hours. Make sure to charge your device beforehand. If you are using an Apple iPod to display the light stick, consider bringing along another music player in order to save your battery. If you are using your iPhone, try to bring another cellphone with you (if possible), or use your iPhone as little as possible beforehand.

You might want to ask staff before taking out your phone during a concert they might think that your taking photos and have it taken from you or worse you get kicked out of the concert~!
