JYJ‘s Junsu was chosen as the #1 celebrity with the most drawing power for 2012.

Ticket site Interpark held the ‘Golden Ticket Awards‘ from December 24th to January 6th. For the best musicals, the rankings were determined from 40% online voting, 30% ticket sales, and 30% from Interpark’s own internal ranking system. In terms of the best actors, they were chosen through 60% ticket sales and 40% from online voting.

Junsu’s musical ‘Elizabeth‘ was chosen as the #1 musical and received 46.9% of the online vote. Additionally, Junsu himself was chosen as the #1 male musical actor with 45.1% of the online vote.Kim Sun Young and Ok Joo Hyun from the same musical took first and second place for the female musical actress with 35.7% and 21.7% respectively.

[NEWS] 130103 The Fourth Annual Kpop Convention

For the Fans By the Fans

A jam-packed super-event which gathered an astounding 6000 plus audience, this is one way to describe the successful Kpop Convention 4. With their mission to raise funds for Gawad Kalinga Community Development Projects & the Philippine Animal Welfare Society, KCON 4 was the first and the biggest Fan -organized Kpop event in the Philippines. Fans of different Korean artists and idol groups gathered to enjoy and celebrate the Kpop Fever in Manila. The said event has gathered more than 50 fans’ clubs and each of them have their own booth where they showcased their love and support for their favorite Korean artists.

First held last December 2009, then the 2nd Phil Kpop Convention was held in December 11, 2010 at the PICC Forum while The 3rd Phil Kpop Convention was held in December 31, 2012 at the Megatent and the most recent was held on December 29,2012 in PICC Forums 1-3.

The Contests
The said event also highlighted the talents of Filipino Kpoppers through different contests and exciting performances!

There was the 4TH PHILIPPINE KPOP AWARDS where the fans hailed the best of the best in the Kpop world. Below is the list of the winners:

Kim Junsu (Xia) won Best Dance Performance (Solo) on 2012 Remarkable Awards – German Korean Entertainment Awards with Tarantallegra. Remarkable Awards was started in 2012. The nominees were selected by a jury based on the results of the German Asian Music Charts and the winners were picked through online voting by German K-pop fans.

The nominees for Best Dance Performance (Solo) on this year’s Remarkable Awards include: BoA – Only One, Jay Park – I Love You, J.Y. Park – You are the One, and Se7en – When You Can’t Sing. Watch the video below (Junsu’s category starts on 5:45).

JYJ‘s Park Yoochun has been confirmed to receive the ‘Popularity Award’ for an upcoming award show.

Park Yoochun who played a role in MBC TV‘s ‘Miss Ripley‘ secured the top spot in a popularity poll for male TV actors conducted by the 48th annual PaekSang Arts Awards which is scheduled to take place at Seoul Olympic Park on April 26th.

The poll was conducted from March 23rd to April 23rd, and Yoochun earned 53.8% of all votes. He earned 9.3% more than his fellow JYJ member Kim Jaejoong (44.5%) who played a role in SBS TV‘s ‘Protect the Boss‘ last year.
