Song Seung Hun and Kim Jae Joong′s Dr. Jin will be airing before Japanese audiences in May.

According to the official webpage of Japan′s hallyu channel DATV, Dr. Jin will start airing on May 25. The series will air for the same number of episodes with Japanese subtitles.

Though it has never aired in Japan, the drama is already fairly popular in the country as it is based on a Japanese piece. Song Seung Hun and JYJ′s Kim Jae Joong also have a giant fanbase, which has helped spread word about the drama.

Dr. Jin has already been taken overseas through Taiwan′s GTV in September 2012. It is also scheduled to start airing in Singapore′s Channel U from April 1.

Dr. Jin is about how the most skilled doctor of 2012, Jin Hyuk (Song Seung Hun), travels back in time to land in Joseon of the 1860s. It aired from May 26, 2012 to August 12.

MBC’s new weekend drama “Dr. Jin’s” first broadcast is confirmed to be broadcast on May 26th. As a take on the original ‘Dr. Jin,’ (which was created by manga artist Murakami Motoka in Japan as a 10-year serialized comic strip) the 2012 medical drama is about a doctor that travels through time and space and arrives in Joseon era 1860 where he faces a lot of struggles. In 2009, Japan broadcast station TBS aired a drama version of Dr. Jin as well and it received high popularity.

In this new drama, a modern day doctor will transcend time and space and slip into the past. There, he will begin to conduct medical activities and meet important historical people of that time. Actor Song Seung Hun will play the character “Jin Hyuk,” the genius doctor who transcends through time and space. JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong will play the character Kim Kyung Tak, Joseon’s best soldier.

Along with Song Seung Hun and Kim Jaejoong, the drama will star “box-office invincible” actor Lee Bum Soo, who will play the character Lee Ha-eung in the Joseon era. He will be a soldier of fortune who hide his status. He also has strong desire for power and ambition. Lee Ha-eung has strong desire for power and ambition and puts his second son Myeongbok to the throne. This is a real character of history known as Heungseon Daewongun.

When Lee Bum Soo saw the synopsis for “Dr. Jin” he said that he was slightly nervous because it would be his first historical drama. He believes that the drama is a good piece of work and that he feels that he has a responsibility to viewers. Thus, he wishes to create a good drama.

The drama ‘Time Slip Dr. Jin’s production company Lee Kim production demanded for SBS’s scheduled drama “Faith” to halt production.

Lee Kim Production said that “Faith’s” story based on a doctor who time travels from the past to the present is very similar and demanded for SBS to halt the production.

Song Seung Hun and Park Yoochun will hold a fan sign event on occasion of grand opening of Black Smith’s branches in Suwon (Gwangju), Seohyun station (Bundang) and Haeundae Centum City (Busan).

Park Yoochun’s fan sign event is scheduled on Feb 25 at 3PM at Seohyun station (Budang).

JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong will face off against actor Song Seung Hun in the new TV seriesDr. Jin.

Kim will play the role of a military officer of Joseon Dynasty named Kim Gyung Tak in the series, which will air in the first half of 2012.

JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong is confirmed to be cast in the drama ‘Time Traveling Dr.Jin’.

Along with Song Seung Hun, Kim Jaejoong is expected to play Kim Kyung-tak, a military (naval) officer in Joseon Dynasty in the drama ‘Time Traveling Dr.Jin’ that will be aired on the 1st half of 2012.

In the drama, Kim Kyung-tak is the descendant of a military family and is the best naval officer of Joseon Dynasty. His pride is strong and he has a high competitive spirit but he is also a romanticist who loves only one woman that he has fallen for from his childhood. He will get into a fateful confrontation with Dr. Jin-hyuk (Song Seung Hun) who travels back to the past from 21st century 

A representative of the production company, Victory Production, said, “Kim Jaejoong who has successfully debuted in ‘Protect the Boss’ will play Kim Kyung-tak in ‘Time Traveling Dr.Jin’.
